An API that starts working without a key request

FreeSerp is a free web search and SERP API built for AI agents, with no API key, no signup and no published rate plan. It draws on two sources: FreeSerp Global, its own index of 3.1B+ web pages, and FreeSerp Main, 20M+ site profiles with LLM-written summaries, through a JSON REST API and an MCP connector for agent frameworks.

Building an agent that can search the web usually starts with registering for a key before writing a single query, then waiting for approval or a quota to be assigned. FreeSerp removes that registration step from the search itself, not from what the agent goes on to do with the results it gets back.

No key, because there is no signup behind one

There is no API key to request and no account to create first — a request can be sent as soon as the endpoint is known, without an approval step in between. That is different from a key that happens to be free to obtain; here there is no key step in the flow at all, for any part of the process.

Two sources, not one

FreeSerp Global is its own index of more than 3.1 billion web pages. FreeSerp Main is a separate set of 20 million-plus site profiles, each with an LLM-written summary rather than a raw page dump. An agent can query either one depending on whether it needs page-level results or a shorter, summarized profile of a site instead.

A REST API and an MCP connector

Requests go through a JSON REST API for direct integration into existing code, or through an MCP connector for agent frameworks that speak that protocol already. Both reach the same two sources — the connector is a different door into the same index, not a separate product with its own separate data behind it.

What it is positioned as, and what it is not

FreeSerp describes itself as a keyless alternative to the Google and Bing search APIs, built on its own index rather than by scraping either of them directly. It does not claim to return real-time Google results, and it does not publish a rate limit or a guarantee of freshness for either of its two sources.

Why a no-login project reaches for this instead of a key

An agent meant to run with no account anywhere in its own chain gains nothing from a search dependency that needs a key it would have to hold, rotate and protect on someone's behalf. Wiring FreeSerp in keeps that chain the same shape it already had — no credential to store, no separate signup to complete before the agent can search the web for a fresh answer to a question.
